Molon Labe
Description
Molon Labe Patch - Description - "In 480 BCE, King Leonidas and 300 Spartans spent three days locked in battle to defend their homeland from the one million man army of Xerxes, the king of Persia. As the two forces were preparing to engage, Xerxes commanded Leonidas and his men to lay down their weapons, or they would be killed. King Leonidas' reply would become one of the most famous and often cited quotes in all of military history; "Molon Labe," which is Greek for "Come and take them." After 3 days of intense battle, the 300 Spartans and their King were defeated, killed to the last man. But their sacrifice allowed the Greek people to unite and eventually force the Persian army to retreat. Inspired by the art from the movie "300", our Molon Labe Patch is a simple way to not only remember this epic fight, but for Pipe Hitters everywhere to make the simple declaration to any who be foolish enough to demand we lay down our weapons, "Come and take them."
